Mama and Dad took me to my first baseball game! I had never been to a game before so I was really excited and started training right away!
I pumped a lot of iron!
And did lots of push ups!
Finally the big day arrived!
Larry and Amanda were there too! I hadn't seen them since their wedding (I was still in Mama's belly back then).
There were all sorts of other people too from Daddy's work.
I slept through a lot of it but every now and then I woke up to watch the game with Dad. Unfortunately the Diamondbacks lost to the Padres 0-4. But all in all it was a good day!
Well the last week has been pretty cool. I went to my first 4th of July party. The parts of the party I was awake for were great. One thing that really sticks out is that my Grandpa was wearing a really strange hat. My second doctors appointment was this week. I am now 21 inches long and weigh 8lbs and 4ozs. My grandmas and aunts still come by to see my at every chance they get. They always give my parents good food and me a lot of hugs and kisses. I feel very fortunate to have all of this love around me. My grandma Sheryl says I'm her little Kayla Grace Angel Face. My parents think the picture below proves that she is right!
Just catching a few ZZZ's between photo shoots!
At the request of Grandpa Kyle I put a new picture of him on the blog. The first one I posted of him didn't do justice to his Robert Redford like good looks.
Aunt Joni stopped by to say hello after a day of tubing the Salt River.
When you're only a week and a half old everyday is significant. I still sleep a lot (about 16 -18 hours) but when I'm awake I'm a lot more aware of everything around me. Dancing with daddy, cuddling with mama, and getting handed-off from visitor to visitor are how I spend most of my awake hours. I still get my picture taken every 10 minutes. My grandma says I'm going to think that the world just randomly flashes bright lights. I threw-up for the first time last night (not a spit-up, this was a real vomit!) and based on my parents reaction you would have thought a bomb was about to go off. First came the modified stationery panic. Feet and arms were moving but no one was going anywhere. Then they frantically flipped through baby advice books, read instructions on how to use the baby thermometer, rushed me to the bath tub, and generally freaked-out for the better part of an hour. Everything was fine though. I smiled and slept the rest of the night. I'll check back in a few days. Until then, enjoy the pictures below!
Look how well I fit right in my daddy's arms!
My great grandma Ruth sewed my mama this doll when she was a little girl. It used to have long hair but the hair hasn't grown back since mama played hair dresser. It is hard to believe that the doll is taller than I am!
She tells me that what happens at grandma's stays at grandma's!
It's not easy being the center of attention!
Oops I did it again!
Two stepping with daddy!
In our previous post we mentioned that we needed the other camera with pictures of Dovie, Hamony (Korean for Grandmother), and Grandpa Kyle. We put their pictures below:
Dovie meets Kayla!
Three generations together for the first time!
Grandpa Kyle (Not his best picture but not his worst either!)
