Children's Art and Music Festival

Sunny Days were coming to an end so Dada wanted to make sure we got photos of me playing in the sunflowers.
They were huge. Most of them were taller than me.
And as you can see I'm getting to be a big girl....
Yep just another day in the life of a Big Girl.
Me and Dada
We also went to the Children's Art and Music Festival
Where I got my face painted for the first time.
A Lady Bug!

First Concert Wide Spread Panic!

This is me at my first concert. Wide Spread Panic. It was so much fun. When we first got there I was enjoying all the people and dancing to the music. After the first song and everyone started clapping, I knew I was in the right place. I couldn't believe all these people were all clapping with me. It was great!

Kayla's Second 1st Birthday Party

Auntie Joni came out early to hang out with me and help mama get ready for the Party!
This is the cake mama made.
Here's a pic of Al and Grandma Sheryl hanging out at the party.
and Dada, Pa, and Ed enjoying the weather as well.
Then the attention was all ong me and I wasn't sure why but I liked it.
I wasn't quite sure what I thought of those flames...
but the frosting was good.
Thanks mama for the delicious carrot cake.
Here is a picture of my friend Isabelle. She wasn't my only friend there, but with our stars and stripes dresses and piggy tails mama thought we looked like twins.
All and All it was a great party!

The next day we went downtown for lunch and stopped by the Hopi Festival.
I really got into the dancing!
See?
After everyone else had left, Richard, Marianne, Mama, Dada, and I all went out to eat to a restaurant that had parking lot attendents riding real horses to show us the way!!!
I also got lots of great gifts that I am so thankful for!

Exploring my world and Loving my Dog

Mama had to clean off the patio furniture because there was so much pollen. and me being the good girl that I am volunteered to help.
But Oh No! My bottom got all wet and I didn't even potty!
But some cuddle time with Doyle makes everything better
and of course plenty of kisses.
He even lets me ride him. although Mama won't let me do that anymore because she is afraid that it hurts him.

Mother's Day 08

For Mother's Day, Daddy got Mama this cool hiking back pack.
And since it was Mother's Day he carried it for her. I did not know what to think at first!
But then we kept walking and I saw all these cool things.
After I calmed down I realized that I liked this hiking stuff
Yeah snack time!
Yummy

Isn't my daddy the strongest man in the world?
He showed me how this rock would crumble.
Then I showed Mama
I just loved how the rock crumbled in my hands!
Doyle crumbled his fare share of rocks too
Then a quick nap before we drove back to town and out to dinner.

10 months and counting

Yea! I am 10 months and counting. I have four teeth, two on bottom and two on top (poor mama). I have been crawling for a while now, so that's old news, but now i am trying to walk. I can go a couple feet real good. The other day I went between 10-15 feet while mama held her breath. I was so excited afterwards i just laughed and giggled while landing on my butt. if you ask me what the cow says i say "oooo" and the sheep "aaaaa" which is close enough to make mama and daddy laugh and clap. I clap all the time. I also do signs. I do milk (that's my favorite sign), duck, hat, fish, bird and horse. All exciitng stuff. I change pretty fast now. Here are some random photos we have taken the last couple of months.
mama and i with out matching pig tails.
Daddy walking downtown to meet us.
Mama tried to get a good photo of me with this blanket Nanny had made for me, but I wouldn't sit still so she has given up.
There was just too much going on.
This is mama's first sewing project on her new machine. it is supposed to be a baby sling. It is cut all wrong, but it still works for just hanging on her hip and freeing up her hands.
This was me learning to use a spoon. mama has given up on baby food though i eat finger foods now.

These are some elk that visited us earlier this spring.
And here are some deer that stopped by too. They were a lot of fun, cause they kept coming and going which made Doyle excited and he barked and barked.
Bath time is still one of my favorite activities.
Daddy and I tried to play it cool but we're so hot that mama melted.

Practicing walking is hard work. Sometimes you fall flat on your face!
Reading is one of my favorite past times.
I also love watching my Suns play basketball! Too bad they are out of the playoffs. We'll miss you D'antoni
Got milk?
