My First Chilli Cook Off!

This was our view driving out of Flagstaff. We almost didn't go to Phoenix cause mama was scared. Too bad daddy wasn't there. he doesn't get scared of nothing! But he had to work so it was just mama and I on this trip.
We went to Target to get diapers when we got to Gilbert and I got to ride in the cart!
I loved the wind blowing through my hair!!!
I even loved the cart corral, I guess this means mama will have to buy me a cart seat cover for christmas!
When we got to grandma and grandpa's house Daddy's cousin, Erin, or bobo like we call her had left her bird while she ran an errand. The bird liked mama but was scared of me.
Then it was a night out on the town with the ladies!
With Auntie Kari and Kaci of course (mama was there too)

The plates at Macaroni Grill were delicious

Mama had missed Kaci's birthday earlier that week so she had the waitress bring her a cake, but when the waitress asked if it was her birthday Kaci got flustered and said no then yes. then blew out hte cake before we were done singing. I Guess this birthday stuff is harder than it looks I better practice for my Birthday bash next summer.
To get ready for the chilli cook off I took a cozy nap with Bobo.

Then out to meet and greet with my fans, like Kristie. I should have worn shades like her.
This is Kristie's baby Lillie although she looks so big. Holding her is her grandma.
We rounded up some ole cow pokes to helps us judge the chilli
One of them was my very own, Richard the Great.

And of course my Grandma had to cart me around and show me off
Then there were photos with Santa. Lillie woke up for this one and her cousin Delaney joined in too.
Then it was my turn...
a pat on the head to reassure me wasn't enough...

Where did mama think she was going without me?
Hey mama! you forgot me!!!
This guy isn't so bad...especially cause he gave me a gift
Then back to the house for more pix...my mama is obsessed!

But hey there's that fan again
and i got to play with my toes some more

Of all people to be a cheek pincher, my mama!

That's better, auntie dovie. She knows how i like it.
and Carson found the coolest bike out there. yes it was a girls bike but it had all the cool buttons and knobs he had to fight off the other boys to play with it.

McCutchen Tribe

Jason Trevizo and Jessica, mama said they have been together longer than her and daddy which must be like forever cause daddy says they have been together for an eternity.
Will and Auntie Kari. She must really like sitting on Santa's lap cause she is all grins.
This is Bruce and Cindy they are fellow Texans and Cowboys fans so mama said they were alright.
and of course Auntie Dovie and mama snuck in there.

and Great Aunt Starla wanted to hold me but I wanted to
look at that fan!
Okay, one picture now back to the fan.
Mama changed my clothes finally as it got colder

Yum this tastes good
But not as good as my Capri Sun!
This is what Santa Claus gave me!
He looks like Brother Doyle but smaller

Enough of that....
Back to the fan
Mama tried to take an artistic photo of Auntie Joni and I but it came out more like zebras on the loose.
This photo is to remind Carson that he didn't want to come but he did and had fun and then didn't want to leave.

This is me wiping the sweat from my brow all this partying is hard work!
Crazy mama let me ride on her lap while she rode the mechanical horse.
Then we went to Auntie Joni's for a slumber party.
And I played and played till we all fell asleep.

Chad & Sophie,

I don' tknow if you remember me (Chad I guess more than sophie, since I only met you a couple times...Shannon Nelson-now Simon- I worked with Kari & Kari about 8 years ago as their habilitator).

Congratulations on Kayla! She is beautiful. Kari gave me your blog address, I hope that is okay with you. It is wonderful to see your family doing so well.

Congratulations again!

Shannon
